Privacy choices

Foky's core account does not require advertising or product analytics. Manage choices in the app under Settings → Privacy & Data, or contact the Privacy Officer.

Product analytics

Optional product analytics are off by default. If enabled, Foky records only an allowlisted event name, an account identifier, a server timestamp, and numeric daily totals. Turn the choice off to stop new events and request deletion of linked raw analytics. Genuinely de-identified aggregates may remain.

Study sync

Study sync is separate from analytics and requires both your consent and an eligible entitlement. Turning it off queues a durable server purge of synced decks and cards. Local study content remains on your device unless you delete it or reset the app. An ordinary sign-out intentionally leaves local-only decks, cards, first-run state, and privacy choices on that device so the only copy is not destroyed. Use a full device reset or account deletion before sharing the device; signing in as another account also clears the prior account scope.

Artificial intelligence

AI is available only to adults. Foky asks before every Anthropic request and shows exactly which topic, notes, selected PDF pages, study material, or recap inputs will be sent. Opening an AI screen does not transmit content. You can cancel instead of confirming.

Consumer health data

Foky is not a health service. Do not enter personal health information. Washington residents and people with similar rights can review the Consumer Health Data Notice and use the same authenticated or email channels to access, withdraw, correct, appeal, or delete covered information.

Access, correction, export, and deletion

Use the authenticated Privacy & Data page to view eligibility and document versions, correct eligibility, create a JSON and CSV export ZIP, or delete the account. Export ZIPs are created locally, deleted after sharing or cancellation, and cleaned up within 24 hours.

You may also email [email protected]. Foky ordinarily verifies control of the account email and does not request government identification by default. Written access requests governed by PIPEDA receive a response within 30 calendar days unless a permitted extension is explained within that period. You may use an authorized agent, although Foky may verify signed authority and account control directly. If a request is refused or partly fulfilled, you may reply to request review and contact the applicable regulator.

No sale or advertising opt-out is needed

Foky does not show ads, sell personal information, share it for targeted advertising, or track people across services. It offers no financial incentive for personal information. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track therefore do not change those practices. If the practices change materially, the Privacy Notice will be updated and renewed acknowledgement will be required.
